Today we are leaving Madrid for Sevilla via the AVE high speed train. It's a 2 1/2 hour ride, and I'm writing right now from the train. The high speed train is awesome, and I read that California is in the midst of a battle for implementing a high speed line from SF to LA., to be completed by 2028. At this moment I'm very biased, and I hope our lawmakers get this done. It would be great.
After 17 days in Madrid, I think we have a good feel for the city. I'm not sure it's the best place for kids, but if you're in your twenties, it would be an awesome place to live. However, I think if we were to commit to living here, we would be able to find more families and other cool activities for the kids. Madrid is a big, big place, and we really only scratched the surface.
