El Prado

Bryce and Laurel doing the Prado Roll outside the museum

by Bryce

El Prado is the best museum for true detailed art and I would be there right now if I were you! My visit to the Prado was exhilarating and if you're planning on going there I hope yours is to! Before we went to El Prado, my family and I geared up to go cause it was a LONG way till we'd reach El Prado (or maybe my legs were aching). when we reached El Prado I dashed ahead leaving everybody with their jaw dropped looking at my trail of dust. I waited for a long time at the entrance until my family caught up. We went through the ginormous entrance and into a huge place that was well decorated and flooded with people. We walked slowly to the coat hanging place, examining every tiny detail of this amazing place. My family and I gave our coats and backpacks to a lady behind a desk who handed it to another lady who then put the coats on a mechanical hanger contraption used at the dry cleaners and then put the backpack in a small white cubby. We then rented audio tour things and started our tour tour! Laurel and I had kid audio tours meanwhile the rest of the family had audio tours for adults. We saw many different works of art. Fransisco De Goya loved painting battle scenes and nude woman. His canvas's were the walls of his house. David Velasquez had bright, cheery paintings. The king got painted by nobody else. There was this unbelievably majestic painting called The Garden Of Dreamy Delights (ed: El Bosco's Garden of earthly Delights).  I enjoyed my trip to El Prado and will miss it when I'm at San Francisco.
