More Prep

We did a couple more things this past week to get ready for our travels:

1. We opened a bank account at Citibank, since they have ATMs in Spain that won't charge you a fee to withdraw money. Sue researched this - power to her. Hopefully they won't ding us on the exchange rate.

2. I got an International Drivers License today. AAA can do this for $15 or so. I guess I will need one to drive a rental car in Spain.

We're 7 days away from departure...

Prep

We're about a week away from departing on a nine week trip to Europe and possibly North Africa.

We will be exploring Spain primarily, with plans to visit Morocco, France and England. We have houses lined up in Madrid for 10 days after our arrival, and in Seville for 10 days around Feria time. Our return plane leaves London in June. Besides that, we have no idea where we'll be staying or what we'll be doing.

Right now, we intend to go to Morocco for about a week, since we're already in southern Spain. We want to explore the southern coast of Spain. And we have friends in Paris whom we would love to see as well.

Bryce wants to go to Germany and see the cars there, and the kids have learned that you can take an overnight boat trip from Barcelona to Genoa, Italy. We're not sure if those will materialize, but you never know...
